Collaborative & Compassionate Counseling via Telehealth
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing privately in Massachusetts, specializing in adults and emerging adults (ages 18+), including those within the LGBTQIA+ community. I adopt a feminist perspective in therapy, emphasizing empowerment as a central aspect of the therapeutic journey. My areas of expertise include support and change related to depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship issues, adjustment, grief, loss, and matters concerning sexual, gender, and identity. In addition to my general practice, I have extensive experience in treating mood and anxiety disorders, as well as adjustment challenges during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
I hold a Master's of Social Work from the University of Illinois - Chicago and a Bachelor's of Art in Sociology from Clark University. My professional background encompasses a wide range of clinical and non-profit experiences, working with various demographics, such as new parents, LGBTQIA+ individuals, college students, and working professionals. My training includes an internship at the revolutionary Chicago Women's Health Center engaging in a feminist-relational and anti-oppressive counseling framework. Additionally, I have obtained a Post-Master's certificate for the use of CBT for Perinatal Emotional Complications.
I firmly believe that each person's path to healing and wellness is unique, and I'm well-prepared to offer a range of interventions. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and relational, emphasizing the utilization of individual strengths to promote healing and change. I recognize that healing thrives within relationships and am committed to fostering a warm, collaborative environment where my clients and I can explore, grow, and heal together.
